🎁 Holiday season is scam season. Is your business ready?
As the holidays approach, scammers ramp up fake delivery notices, phony invoices and urgent "requests from the boss." Busy staff and year-end deadlines make it easier for a bad click to slip through. A few habits go a long way:
✅ Be suspicious of "missed delivery" texts and emails. Go to the carrier's website or app directly instead of clicking the link.
✅ Verify any request for gift cards, wire transfers or new bank details by calling the person at a number you already have. Never reply to the email itself.
✅ Turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA) for email, banking and your POS or payment systems.
✅ Keep computers, phones and network gear updated. Those patches close the holes attackers look for.
✅ Remind your team: when something feels off, pause and ask. A 30-second check beats a costly cleanup.
